One of the things people fail to realize with their cars is maintenance.They do not realize that this simple task can let them save a lot on auto repairs.And it will also enable them to avoid consuming time on repairs.  Because bringing a car in for maintenance takes a lot less time then when it is in for a repair.  So what can someone do to avoid extra expenses in auto repair?

Well first of all you want to always keep your car tuned up. It is a very simple thing to do.  But it is a procedure that will help your car last longer.  In my San Marcos auto repair shop I always encourage my clients to bring their car in for tune ups.It is not because I want to make more money.But for them to not shell out a lot of money on auto repairs. 

Another thing I always encourage car owners to do is to let their cars undergo regular oil changes. Doing this simple task will go a long way.  It will help their engine run smooth and last longer.Compare the oil to your blood.  Just like a person, without blood, it won’t survive.  A car running low on oil can severely damage the engine.  I have seen it too many times where customers brought in a burnt out engine into my Carlsbad auto repair shop.And the reason for this is just due to low oil levels.So be smart and regularly change the oils of your car.

Lastly, I also tell my clients to always check their transmission.The transmission is a part of a car that is expensive to replace just like the engine.  But having it last long is easy. All you have to do is to regularly maintain it.  In my transmission repair shop I always tell my clients to check their transmission fluid.Neglecting the level of it and make it go so low will ruin your transmission.

So, that is it.  If you perform these few things you can avoid costly repairs.  Plus your car will last longer.

Car problems are something every one experiences.It does not matter what brand of car you have.Cars are just machines that will eventually break down.  But with that in mind there are some common problems you can avoid. Or if not avoid you can at least lessen the problems they give you.

First of all is the low oil problem.This should not really be a problem.But some people neglect the fact that cars burn oil. Since they burn oil your oil will run out if you don’t check it.  That is one of my biggest pieces of advice for my San Marcos auto repair company.  Make sure to always check your oil.If the oil is running low then fill your car up.  It will save you some major engine damage if you run it low on oil.

Another common problem that people always bring to my Carlsbad auto repair shop is check engine light problems. When the check engine light comes on it is usually a sign of some emmission problem.  First thing to realize is you don’t have to panic.  It isn’t something that will ruin your car.You should consult your car manual first and see what it exactly means.  You do want to eventually have a mechanic look at it but don’t worry about it for now.

Finally, people always complain about are clicking noises. This is usually caused by a piece of rock or debris in the tires.You can just take some time off and go take a look at your tires.When you find some rocks or debris then you can just use some stick or pen to remove it.  It is nothing major that can hurt your car.It justs makes you worry because it sounds like there is something wrong.Or it can also be annoying especially if you find out that it is not something to worry about.  But in the long run it isn’t something bad.
